Accurate pH prediction is essential to modelling a cooling system. WaterCycle provides several options for predicting pH.
The DEFAULT curve is based upon the classic Kunz curve. It predicts pH based upon alkalinity using a model derived from a survey of pH-Alkalinity relationships in towers using Great Lakes water for makeup. This is the most frequently used curve in the industry. The Caplan curve is similar. Neither curve will model your system exactly.
The closest pH prediction method is to ENTER YOUR OWN pH - ALKALINITY CURVE. The USER curve option provides extremely close pH prediction in most cases.
