WaterCycle Rx correctly shows the tendency for magnesium silicate to form at high temperature (>120 F) in high alkalinity (500 ppm M-alkalinity) high pH (8.8 to 9.2) low magnesium (4 ppm as CaCO3) water. We do see magnesium silicate in the HX's that use this type of water.

The documentation for WaterCycle Rx states that the precursor for magnesium silicate is Brucite. This is the same process description for Serpentine formation in boiler water systems. We see what I think may be Amphibole, Sepiolite, or Forsterite in some of these HXs.

My question is: What is the magnesium silicate mineral that is modled in WaterCycle Rx?
