Typical Water parameters for our treated water from Jwaneng wellfield supply are: pH = 7.28 Temperature oC = 21 Conductivity uS/cm = 820 Turbidity NTU = 0.35 Alkalinity as CaCO3, mg/L = 419 Total Hardness as CaCO3, mg/L = 550 Calcium Hardness as CaCO3, mg/L = 455 Fluoride, F mg/L = 0.28 Chloride, Cl mg/L = 80.8 Bromide Br mg/L = 0 Nitrite NO2 mg/L = 0 Nitrate NO3, mg/L = 1.88 Phosphate PO4, mg/L = 0 Sulphate SO4, mg/L = 8.82 Calcium Ca, mg/L = 85 Magnesium Mg, mg/L = 34.3 Iron Fe, mg/L = 0 Manganese Mn, mg/L = 0 Sodium Na, mg/L = 57.6 Potassium K, mg/L = 0.8 Total Dissolved Solids, mg/L = 501 We would like to reduce the water hardnes through lime softening. Please advise us how to treat the total hardness from this water by the lime softening process. Please help us.
