Event Details
Environmental Sustainability in Power Plants - Methods to ensure
environmental sustainability and reduce your environmental footprint.
The Southwest Power Conference is an annual event dedicated to providing
power plant engineering and management with useful information to help
optimize operations. Last year, the event was attended by over 85 people
representing nearly 70% of the MW in Texas. The goal of the conference is to
have useful discussions on areas that significantly impact plant heat rate,
availability, reliability and sustainability. The conference will focus on
technical discussions that include methods to understand, identify, quantify
and implement projects that optimize the power plant in these areas. These
technical discussions will be delivered by leaders in their field. There
will also be time to network with other plant engineers and management to
learn about specific offerings from the sponsors of the event.
Evening Entertainment
You are invited to watch the Texas Rangers take on the Chicago White Sox. On
the evening of May 23rd, each registered attendee is invited to attend the
game in the “Casey’s Corner” Suite. The co-sponsors have provided for food
and drink during the game. There is indoor and outdoor seating along the
first base line so please come enjoy the game with your colleagues.
Registration
The cost of the seminar is $275 per attendee. Seminar costs include
conference materials, food/beverage for conference attendees, a buffet
dinner and tickets to the game on Monday evening and a conference shirt.
(Additional shirts may be purchased for $50 each.)

A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the Sheraton Arlington. You

or after May 13 will be non-refundable.
