Cooling Water Modeling

Thorough Mineral Scale Evaluation

For over two decades, WaterCycle's innovative approach of modeling cooling water scale deposition, corrosion and treatment has made rigorous physical chemistry an everyday tool for thousands of water treaters worldwide.

The interface and calculation engine were designed to enable even a novice computer user the ability to:

  • Evaluate scale potential for 20 + different species
  • Determine a systems optimal operating range
  • Test the effect of pH controls
  • Select a suitable treatment

Optimize Cycles

WaterCycle enables users to view scale potential over their entire operating range, at any selected recovery.

This means a user can quickly find:

  • When scale becomes an issue
  • Which scales require treatment
  • If treatment can extend cycles of concentration

Operate more efficiently with WaterCycle basic and Premium Editions.

Inhibitor Modeling

WaterCycle enables users to model treatments using our extensive inhibitor library of models, or with your own models created using a Laboratory Edition.

Using a Product Manager Edition, a user can create a Product File by selecting any number of materials and by assigning actives.

Once a Product File is created, model it! WaterCycle's color coded graphs and Treatment Limits Summary show the treatments range of effectiveness. WaterCycle also recommends a dosage for any point in your operating range.

Materials available include:

  • HEDP
  • ATMP
  • HEDP
  • PBTC
  • HDTMP
  • DTPMPA
  • PAA
  • PMA
  • AA-AMPS
  • + Many Proprietary Materials

  1. Create Product File »
Product files are made up of various inhibitor models. They are used to model effectiveness and dosages for a given analysis.
  2. Select 'Product' to Model »
After using WaterCycle for scale potential assessment, select a previously made Product File to view a products range and for dosage recommendations.
  3. Color Coded Graphs »
WaterCycle enables a user to view a treatment's optimal range via color coding:
    indicates safe range

indicates mild problem if conditions change

warns to check measurements, nearing trouble

indicates a problem is likely, take corrective action

warns of a problem. Remedial action required.
